MDM, NIS2 compliance and new solutions for the digital healthcare sector

At this year’s DMEA (Digital Medical Expertise and Applications) trade fair in Berlin, Mediaform will present a comprehensive range of hardware and software solutions for the digital healthcare sector. The trade fair will take place in Berlin from 21 to 23 April 2026 – in Germany’s capital city for the last time, before it continues in Munich from 2027 onwards. With around 900 exhibitors and more than 470 speakers, the DMEA is regarded as Europe’s leading event in the field of digital health. Mediaform will be represented in Hall 1.2, Stand C-101.

MDM & NIS2 (Directive (EU) 2022/2555 – Network and Information Systems 2) – the focus is on security and compliance

Since the NIS2 Directive came into force, healthcare organisations in Germany have been under pressure to act: mobile devices must be safely and securely configured, centrally managed and demonstrably compliant. Anyone who cannot guarantee this risks heavy fines – and, in the worst case, compromising patient safety.

Therefore, a key topic of Mediaform’s trade fair presentation is Mobile Device Management (MDM): Mediaform will showcase tried-and-tested solutions that reliably ensure data security, standardised device configuration and NIS2 compliance – and can be seamlessly integrated into existing hospital infrastructures.

As part of the official trade fair tour, Mediaform will explore this topic in greater depth in a presentation entitled “Safe, secure, mobile working in the healthcare sector – the modern workplace in a clinical setting” and showing how hospitals can make their work processes more efficient and secure.

New ward trolleys – fully equipped or as a retrofit solution

Off-the-peg solutions rarely meet the diverse requirements of clinical departments. That is why Mediaform is expanding its portfolio to include fully equipped ward trolleys – and also offers the option of retrofitting existing trolleys with tried-and-tested hardware. Visitors can experience the wide range of configuration options for themselves at the stand.

Sunlux XL-3620S – developed for the highest hygiene requirements

Mediaform presents the Sunlux XL-3620S, a handheld scanner developed specifically for everyday clinical use. This high-performance 1D/2D handheld scanner, developed by Sunlux in collaboration with Mediaform, features a disinfectant-resistant housing with IP54 protection, and fully meets the EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) requirements for medical devices. Thanks to its plug-and-play compatibility, it is ready for immediate use with all commonly-used operating systems, and offers convincing value for money – an economically effective solution to rising cost pressures in the healthcare sector.

MEDIassist – Digitally safe and secure closed-loop medication

Medication errors are among the preventable risks with the most serious consequences in everyday hospital practice. MEDIassist, the new software solution from Mediaform, supports medication processes – all the way from prescribing to the comprehensive documentation of medication administration – in a fully digital and transparent manner.

Seamless integration into the PDMS (Patient Data Management System) and HIS (Hospital Information System) creates a fully closed-loop process: prescriptions are imported digitally, and DIVI (German Interdisciplinary Association of Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine) compliant labels are generated automatically and accurately, thus ensuring that every administration of medication can be documented in an unambiguously traceable manner. The result: greater patient safety, higher process quality and significant time savings in day-to-day clinical practice.

Everyone who would like to experience these technologies first-hand, and receive personalised advice, is warmly invited to visit the Mediaform stand in Hall 1.2, Stand C-101. The team looks forward to the exchange of views, and some interesting discussions.
