New solutions for patient identification and medication labeling

„Mobile Healthcare“ in a nutshell: Mediaform will present itself on Stand C-102 in Hall 1.2 at the largest European industry meeting for healthcare IT, the DMEA 2023 in Berlin. In addition to solutions for mobile data acquisition and a broad selection of needs-based labels tailored for the healthcare industry, the MediScan healthcare app comes into particular focus:
A medication process to administer liquid active ingredients in syringes is an essential part of daily work in a hospital or intensive care ward. Using the MediScan app now makes this process far easier and, above all, much safer. In addition to scanning a data matrix code on the patient’s wristband, unique patient identification it is now also possible by using an MDA (mobile data acquisition device) to read the chip of a patient’s RFID wristband (NFC = Near Field Communication).
Information on printing solutions at the Mediaform stand
In the context of a complete range of solutions, trade fair visitors can also obtain information from Mediaform about suitable printing solutions. The robust healthcare and wristband printers are specifically designed for use in hospitals and laboratories. Of course, like the mobile data acquisition devices and scanners being exhibited, they also fulfil the special requirements of medical establishments.
Mediaform also presents suitable and pre-configured barcode scanners in various designs for the reliable reading of complex 1D/2D barcodes to implement the FMD directive that is already in force. The high-performance, ergonomic TTP and Eco models in hygienic design also contribute to an optimised identification process and are perfectly designed to meet the special requirements of the healthcare sector, for example in terms of resistance to disinfectants and user-friendliness.
As usual, Mediaform will also focus not least on its almost unique range of products and services in the labelling field. The trade fair stand will feature an outstanding selection of microscope slide and cryo labels that can be used in demanding applications, at extremely low temperatures or even in staining solutions. For safe, secure patient identification, there is also a comprehensive spectrum of patient wristbands available in both conventional and RFID versions.
